Workshops
In addition to our public workshops, we offer private natural dye workshops for parties, team-building corporate events or afternoon retreats at our Chinatown studio in NYC.
We provide an assortment of natural dyes including tree bark, nuts, cochineal, mushrooms, roots, indigo, and botanicals...depending what's readily available and in season etc. We walk our students through natural dye processes and techniques while giving detailed support to each student's project. Each person is provided with cotton swatches to experiment with and a blank silk pillowcase to dye and take home. Students can bring their own non synthetic fibered items looking for a new life such as tea shirts, tea towels and tote bags.
Private events are a minimum of 10 people
