the avalon collection

The Avalon collection dives into the deep warm oblivion of color.

It's about finding order within chaos and enjoying the ride. 

Walking away from a place to be able to return with a renewed sense of wonder. 

This collection is named after the mythical island of Avalon. It also references Kalen's school house in the Berkshires where the collection was conceptualized. 

This is Upstate's first installation exploring the connection of color through the form of textiles and glass. 

The silk textiles are hand dyed with various natural ingredients, such as tree barks, roses, hibiscus, mushrooms and indigo. 

All glassware pieces gesture towards the romance of casual living with simple elegant forms.
