Where is home?
Upper East Side, very close to Central Park
Do you have a morning ritual or rituals throughout your day?
I love slow mornings starting with coffee and sunlight on my terrace with my boyfriend. Ideally I don’t look at my phone for an hour upon waking up. Throughout the day I try to move my body - dance, tennis, or yoga. I love taking baths and reading before bed.
What are you listening to?
Deepak Chopra’s Heart Meditation (also part of my morning ritual)
Where do you look for inspiration?
Everywhere. I find inspiration in old school New York spaces like my dance studio Steps on Broadway or my yoga teacher’s radical loft she teaches out of that she bought in the 1970’s. Nature is a big source of inspiration, noticing how perfect everything works together in harmony. I’m constantly seeing art and dance shows in New York that feed my soul. Traveling is a big source. Reading (I love classic literature). Music. My yoga teachers.
What’s for dinner?
I’ve been making a lot of roasted chicken or salmon with crunchy herby salads and a tangy dressing.
Where do you create?
Anywhere I can move my body. SKY TING or my dance studios. I crave big open spaces.
What is a typical day like for you?
I drink coffee, walk through Central Park, head to SKY TING to work, go to a dance class or yoga class, dinner with friends or dinner at home. I try to do acupuncture once a week and have fun on the weekends outside of the city if possible, especially in the summer.
When do you feel like your truest self?
Dancing, swimming in the ocean, teaching at SKY TING.
Can you tell us what your favorite Upstate item is and why?
I love my Upstate pendant light. It’s fun, different, gives off such a warm glow which is perfect to sit under at dinner. And I love that my friend Kalen made it :). I’m also obsessed with SKY TING x UPSTATE eco friendly collaboration sweat suits which are incredibly soft and cozy. ⚡
