Color Sessions Dye Workshop October 11th

Join us at our Chinatown Studio for a dye workshop on October 11 from 6-8 pm. Each student will go home with their own silk pillow (provided in ticket price) and some more knowledge of natural dyes, fibers and how to bring this work into your own creative practice.
Founder of Upstate, Kalen Kaminski will be teaching some basic dyeing techniques using natural dyes such as cochineal, tree barks, roots, flowers, indigo and more!
We will also explore some colors you can make by going through your compost!
Additional blank items to dye will be for sale or you can bring your own items. Note; they must be all natural fibers.
